As we begin our new school year, I am delighted to be joining the Gilpin Elementary School community. In my interactions with parents, staff and students, I could not help but notice the caring, supportive and enthusiastic environment that surrounds the school. School goals, artistic and dramatic presentations, athletic pursuits, and celebrations of learning at monthly community gatherings, add to the richness and diversity of this school. Furthermore, a range of curricular and extra-curricular activities, add to an inspiring pursuit of excellence.
Staff are dedicated in providing opportunities and varied learning experiences for students that nurture a love of learning and independent thinking. Parents are active participants in their children's education and I look forward to getting to know you in person or by telephone conversations. Please continue to introduce yourselves to me during community events, class projects and throughout the routines of the school year.
